Does anyone know what brand of steel the player is using on the Presley show? I couldn't make the name out as they didn't stay on him long enough. Thank's Wes

Wes, on the show I saw on RFD-TV last night, to my tired old eyes it looked like the Russler (Russ Hicks and Randy Weideman - Steel). It caught my attention because the other times I've seen the show on TV and twice in person, the steeler played a Williams.

Maybe Russ or Randy will chime in.

Sounded thin to me. No body to it, whatever it was.

Hey Bill Moran, You are 100% correct, Kevin sounded much better on his Williams than he did last night on his Rustler..the sound was thin, no body..sounded like a bunch of wires..not nice at all...but remember Kevin is a world class Player..just goes to show that the instrument one plays also has a part in what comes out of the amp.

Thank you gentle man my eyes not as good as they used to be. I thought it was on the bright side. Iknow my 2 steel's the 2003 I don't believe has the sound of my 86 but it has more wood in it and is heavier. The older one has a BL710 the 03 a PF 1

hopefully it was a sound system problem and not the guitar.

I didn't see this weeks show, but Kevin has 2 williams guitars that he usually plays. One on the show and the other out of the theatre, I did however see that He did recently buy a Russler guitar. Kevin is a great player, so who knows what (if)there was a problem what it was.

May have been the sound system or engineer, heard Russ Hicks on his "Russler' last year and the tone was smooth indeed, nicely built guitars.

I think Russler is correct. When I talked to him in March, He said he really liked it and it sure sounded good that evening.
