Hello everyone - the book is NOT out of print but it is a limited privately printed and published book. You can get a copy by paypal direct to me at 'mark.makin(at)ntlworld.com'. The book costs £65 plus £27.50 postage and packing (next day to the US).

I'm afraid the shipping cost is quite high because the package is quite heavy. The book is a full colour, 423 page hardback and weighs in at 3Kgs!

It covers the complete output of all the instruments that the Dopyera Brothers were involved with. National, Dobro, Supro, Valco, Mosrite, OMI, and dozens of trade house brands. It covers, archtops, solid bodies, flat tops, lap steels, resoglas, resonators, mandolins, ukes, tenors etc.. etc..

There is also a 50 page section about National Dobro and Valco amplifiers from 1935 to 1968.

At the back is a 'revised' National serial number list. I helped Bob Brozman work on this list 20 years ago and I have now tripled it in size to almost 4300 numbers. It is also laid out in a more technical 'database' way.

Please email me at the above address if you need any more info.
Best wishes
Mark

On monday afternoon I ordered this book from Mark in England, and today, three days later, it arrives at my home in Canada.

The only thing better than the service is the incredible book itself.

For anyone seriously interested in National ,Dobro,Supro and Valco guitars and amps this is "THE" book to have.

Mark, thanks for your work and the many hours of enjoyment it will bring to your readers.
