Humidity or lack of and cross shafts

after reading the comments about sticky shafts, I have to comment about my Kline and how Joe Kline built them. it has a square bar on each side, drilled and tapped at regular intervals for as many cross shafts as you want.each shaft fits into a pillow block, which is screwed to the square bar. not only is it free of any wood contact, the bar also strengthens the frame.
