I'm thinking in the area of 35. A while back someone asked who had played on the most number one records by the same artist. It looks like that would make you the winner.
John also played on a lot of Conways 49. Hag was 2nd but what made that so different was he also wrote a bunch of his.

This is the link to the thread you made reference to. Obviously, you were wrong then and I think by your own figures you are wrong now. John Hughey personally stated that he played on nearly 50 #1 hits with Conway Twitty. I believe Lloyd Green counted well over 40 #1 Conway hits that John had played on. Again, I take their word for it as they were there and you weren't. |

Mike, as I understand it Conway has had the most at 49. On a local radio station, they said when "She'll Leave You With A Smile" (which I think is a remake of "One Step At A Time") went number one he broke the long standing record. Unless the station is wrong...those are the facts.
Anyone else have any info or heard about this.

Bob, I'm sure if you email John Hughey, he can give you the stats on what Conway had but the 49 number sounds close to what Lloyd counted as Conway's #1 hits. |

Hi Bob, I heard that George Strait was the new 'Champ' as of this week. It was also in Country Weekly magazine. 49 for Conway and 50 for George. |
