Can anybody tell me a good place to start practising.I have mastered the grips for major chords with the a&b pedals.Wot is a good place to go from here???? :confused

I would suggest that scales would be the next step. They are the common denominator that ties everything together and gets you moving up and down and across the neck. Also, make sure that your right hand technique, volume pedal use, bar vibrato, etc. are correct. Bad habits are hard to break. I know from experience. After playing steel for 10 years, I quit for 7 years and then went to Jeff Newman and started all over and hopefully, learned the correct way. Anyway, I am satisfied with my technique now. by the way, this probably should be moved to Steel Players. Good luck. You have started down a very long road, but every turn is exciting. Have fun and don't get discouraged!The forum will be a tremendous help.
