These are great guitars for the money.I have the exact guitar and it is my favorite other than my vintage guitars.Great neck and the finish is real nice.I don,t think the pictures do it justice. It has a 5 way switch that gets the so called out of phase sound from only two pickups which I like a lot more than three three pickup nashville tele sound for a lot of stuff.Goog price for a really good Tele.Any chance for any trade items? Jerry

What is the difference in the neck PU and a standard tele neck PU? Thanks.

The front pick up is a Stratocaster pickup in the JD model...

These are very fine instruments for sure with additional features not found on a standard Tele. I had the sunburst version but traded it to retrieve an old Gibson guitar I'd sold years ago.....

For those of you who don't know, the JD Telecaster has a five way switch instead of the normal three way. Position 5 is the normal bridge pickup like on all Teles. Position 4 is set up to simulate the "out of phase" sound on a Strat with the middle and bridge pickups but uses some form of a capacitor to do this, it's a very "usable" position. Position 3 is the normal "middle" position with both pickups. Position 2 is the neck pickup with the tone control. Position 1 is the neck pickup with the tone control bypassed. The neck pickup is also a Stratocaster pickup....

All in all, these are very fine instruments with all the sounds of a normally setup Tele but with the addition of extra tones not usually there. I love the wood grain on the necks of these and the frets are very well set.........JH in Va.
