Well I finally got my new custom built Ritt, an what a beauty it is.
Gary built 2 wonderful steels for me, exactly like I asked him to.
They are the finest steels I've ever owned, and I've had many others.
Jean said it's her favorite color, so it will have to be my last one.

Carl, Very nice. Which pickup do you have? I'm in line for a new Rittenberry and I can't hardly wait. How about a sound clip?
Again congratulations, Norm

Thanks guys, I love this one. It's just like my Red & White one,
except for the color & P/U, They both play so easy and are very quiet.
Norman: This one has the TrueTone pickup, and it sounds a lot like
the Alumitone on my Red & White one, maybe a bit warmer sound.

Wow, Carl! What a beauty. Reminds me of a '57 Chevy color scheme. I know it sounds good, too. I sat down to an SD-10 Gary built with Tru-Tones in Dallas last month and it had such sweet tone. Congratulations on your guitar - truly a work of art! jc Smile

Hey Carl ,
That's a fine color combo , i especially like how the front apron is trimmed. I also really like the tone of your red & white Ritt. Do you steel have the black one? Do you know what the p/u on your new one is wound to? Congrats on the new steel.

Hi guys. Thanks for all your very nice comments. Sorry I didn't get back sooner,
but we have been going to Terre Haute every day to the hospitals and doctors.
Dennis, I want to thank you and Gary so much for carrying and setting up and
packing up all my equipment at the Mt. Vernon show. You guys sure are the best.
Jean had her operation today, so I guess I won't be doing any pickin for awhile.
She has 2 machines on her, and she can't even talk yet, but knows how to get me.
I spent 2-1/2 hours at the eye center at the hospital during her operation, hoping
they could come up with something to help me see better. I think they might have
helped, but EyeMart made a new pair to the prescription, and when I went to pick
them up, they said they broke one of the lenses. They made 9 pairs in 2 weeks,
and all were wrong, and broke 2 other ones. What a success story this has been.

Hi Larry. You know Red is my favorite also, but when I sold all my Emmon's
I asked Jean what color she would like my last steel to be, and she said Blue.
It took many hours to find the color she liked, and Gary matched the pad color.
Mike Sigler played it last Thurs, and WOW what a sound. Love to hear him play.
I tried to find a couple licks that he played on it, but I guess they came off. Sad
Mike, I hope your enjoying your new Ritt. Still waiting to see some pictures,
and sure would like to hear some of your great playing on it as well.
Hope you all have all Happy Easter.

OK Carl, since you've tried 705's, Lace and now TrueTone, we want a full report on how they compare! By the way, I know Terre Haute...lived there for seven years.

Hi Roger, sure missed you at Mt. Vernon my friend.
Anyway, I didn't like the 705 at all. It was way to
bright for me. The Lace has a very nice warm tone and
the separation is better and very clean. I think the
TrueTone sounds about the same as the Lace, but just
a little bit warmer tone, which is what I really like. Very Happy Very Happy
I bet you don't miss Terre Haute at all, it reminds me
of Paterson, N.J. but it's not nearly as bad, not yet.
