During the 90's I offered a Cajun Style Steel Course for the E9th. I found it in an old stack and asked my son to add it to my website. I will try to find the audio that pertains to it and have him upload it. Meanwhile, if you can find a CD entitled Cajun Pickin(originally on Lanor Record label) you can hear all of the songs that the course was based upon.

Hope it helps someone. _________________ RETIRED

Marty,
You are very generous to make this information available to the forum. Raised in Texas, next door to a family from Cameron Louisiana, I was exposed to Cajun music early. I always loved the energy and in your face style of the music and the players of the style. I'll be looking for the record or tape that goes with this book...
Thank you very much,
Dick Sexton... |

Dick, thanks for the comments. I hope it helps somebody.
BTW, I remembered today that the course included soundtraks.(complete songs w/o steel)
I don't think that Cajun music soundtraks are very common so if there is enough interest I could try to find them.
My best..... _________________ RETIRED

Jay, I found the tracks, but I have some issues.
-they are on cassette so I need to convert
them
-my son has traditionally worked on the site
and he's having problems with the new
look/feel of the control panel the
webhost has changed to so we would
struggle to upload the tracks once I
converted them
-I'm considering changing hosts but that would
be painful.
I hope to resolve all of the issues during my Christmas vacation.
Best regards _________________ RETIRED
