Ralph Royce, from the Maysville, KY passed away in his sleep last night. Ralph was a fine player and loved to play the steel.He was currently with a good band from the Northern KY area. May he rest in peace,and may the Lord look after his family.

Someone called me early this morning on Ralph's cell phone to tell me that he had died during the night. It's been hard to believe until I saw it in print just now. Ralph has been like a brother the past 35yrs. He started me playing steel, got my first steel from him.I needed a steel one time and he loaded his steel in his plane and flew down here for me to use that night.You just don't find a better friend than that. RIP Brother. Fred
