There was a grease fire in the 4th street grill at 3:45 am today at the Millienum. This is in the basement close to the convention area. 400 guest were evacuated with 1 reported injury. Fire Department was dispatched again at 7:45 am for a re-kindle. No other info right now as this is still breaking news.

Fire investigators believe a deep fryer started the fire at the Millennium Hotel in the 200 block of North 4th Street around 4:00 a.m. Several downtown streets were blocked near the hotel while fire crews worked the fire.

Guests were allowed back into their rooms about an hour later.

No one was hurt in the fire.

WOW!! This is no time to have a fire! I am glad they got it out and only one kitchen affected. Hopefully it will be up & running soon. Wait until I tell Roy! LOL Thanks for the information. Laurie
