Jefferson Room F - MSA Steel Guitars
Shaw Room - Mullen Steel Guitars
Lewis Room - GFI Steel Guitars
Clark Room - Zumsteel Steel Guitars
Field Room - Emmons Steel Guitars
Laclede Room - Derby Steel Guitars
Soulard Room - Fulawka Steel Guitars
Corondolet Room - Excel Steel Guitars - Japan
A couple of the distributors start early each day and continues to around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning! YOU may be able to play in one of these rooms. Depending on the brand of steel guitar you play.
Chouteau Room - We will also invite distributors to conduct short clinics in the Chouteau Room throughout the Convention. Only one extra activity is confirmed at this time. Chuck Lettes will demonstrate his C6 six string tuning. G-E-C-A-G-F. He is really great at the styles and chords he can get with this tuning!
We may have another function that will feature the non pedal steel in the Jefferson rooms A-B-C-D and most likely will be active every day of the Convention. As you can see there is a lot going on at the Convention other than the performances in the Main Ballroom.
One more thing. Country and Western singer, Barbara Mandrell will be present this year but as a non performing artist. You will be able to meet with her and get her autograph.
Meet me in St. Louis!
Scotty

Hi. I am coming to your show this year. Its my first time. I am really looking forward to it too. I am making it a bit of a holiday too with a drive to nashville the following week. I booked the room at the millenium many weeks ago. If you need a space in your programme filled i would love to do it.

That's right, the Derby Room will be business as usual.
Margit, wife of Charlie Stepp, was not going to have the Derby Room this year, she said that it is a lot of work that she didn't think she was going to be up to doing.
For a lot of us, the Derby Room was our Home Room. So Billy Robinson, Lynn Owsley, Ron Elliott and myself stepped in to make sure the Derby Room would be there. There may only be one or two new Derby Guitars left for sale by then.
The Ad in the ISGC program will read "Charlie Stepp Memorial from Friends of the Derby Room"
And with the coordinated efforts of Bob Callaway and also Tom Miller we are hopeful for a good get together of friends and great music.
Billy, Lynn, Ron or myself, Danny, have nothing to do with the building of Derby steel guitars, for those questions contact Derby Steel Guitar Inc. _________________ Gibson Console Grand D8 - Weenick DT-10 - Dynalap S8 - TriboTone Bars

There will be a worship service as usual on Sunday at 8:00a to 9:30. At this moment Doug Jernigan and Leonard Zinn will be playing steel. We're not sure about others at this time. I will have the opportunity to bring the morning message. Please come out and join us for a great blessing. |

Hey Mike:
If this is truly the 'SUPER BOWL' of steel shows, then there had better be a 'Pittsburgh Steeler' on the program, don't you think?.....
A Six pack going for 7. We will worry about the packaging later. After all, Jerry Byrd added a 7th string.
Steeler fan (both kinds) since the early '50's. _________________ D10 Emmons LeGrande SKH (rebuilt by Billy Knowles), D10 Emmons Push/Pull (setup by Billy Knowles) , SD10 Rittenberry |

Chris,
Good luck with Talent Night. I caught your show last year, I think at Chubby Howard's. Or, it could have been Lexington.
I hope to be around on Thursday night, unless my buddy and I play 36 instead of 18. Or possibly 19 instead of 18. _________________ HagFan
