Thanks John and Jimmie,

Yes, this will be a great show! We have some players coming this year that has never played our show or shows in this area.

We are not trying to exclude anyone, but we wanted to give others a chance to play and not the same players at all shows.

There is something for everyone who loves the steel guitar.

Thanks and see you in 17 days.

GOD bless!

Terry we are getting closer to the big day.

:D Lately I have been the only guy at shows using a Fender tube amp, and the only guy playing a GFI guitar. Since I go on the Show really early, what time can the players set up their equipment, before the audience arrives?

Only 2 weeks until the 4th Annual Marshfield Steel Show.

The Jubilee Theater building will be open at 10:00 AM and we are shooting for take-off at 10:30 AM.

The order of this years players are:

1) Jimmie Sentlinger Steel with Phil Armstrong on Sax
2) Keith Hilton
3) Scotty Henderson
4) Jack Musgrave
5) Jerry Roller
6) J.D. Walters
7) Rudy Osborne
8) Awards Presentation
9) Mike "Cookie" Jones
10) Mike McGhee
11)Gene Fields
12)Rob Parker
13)Jerry Horner
14)Bob Garrett
15)Terry Wood & Wood Brothers Band (Close Out Show)

We are trying to accomodate everyone and make the transitions as quick and as easy as possible.

Also, we do have a really good backup band and extra players. We ask that you do not bring a whole band with you to play on your set. This takes alot of extra time changing in and out and there are plenty of players already here. There are several guest singers scheduled to be here as well.

This is going to be a great show! I am really looking forward to hearing and seeing everyone.

Thanks and may GOD bless!

I switched Jerry Roller and Jack Musgrave's places in the line up. Both have to play that evening, but Jerry has a lot further to drive to his playing job.

Thanks guys!

Hey Keith,

Can I borrow that Fender Amp out and check it with my 14 stringer?

I think that amp your playing through now is like the one Bobby White recorded his "Steel Trek" LP with. I think that is one of the best steel amps ever!

See you before the show!

Just got in tonight from playing a Show in Springfield. Thanks for putting me 2nd on the Show Terry. I have to play a Show early that evening. I have some smoking hot country E9th stuff to play on the Show. I have been playing in 5 differnt bands, steady, for the last 6 months and my fingers are ready! Actually that Fender tube amp has improved my playing---long story. You are going to be surprised the stuff I play.

Keith and Jerry,

Keith, I am looking forward to hearing your set and that GFI through the Fender amp. Those amps had a unique sound, that's why so many of the great steel players used the Fender amps.

Jerry Roller we will get you on early but not to early, to accomodate your playing that evening.

Thanks and GOD bless!

Terry,

Just so you'll know, I have to play with Heartland in Springfield the evening of June 6 (the same show Keith Hilton is playing), so I will help you all day, but I will have to leave at 6:00 p.m. to get there in time.

I am really looking forward to the show.
Very truly yours,

Great news! Jerry Horner is back in the lineup for our Annual Marshfield June 6th steel show!

You all will really enjoy his great E6th steel approach to playing. He plays one of the few if not only 12 string LDG model Sho-Bud steel in the world.

Jerry's hero was the great Western Swing steel player Bobby Koffer. He's another of the fine players you'll hear at the 4th Annual Marshfield STeel Guitar Show. Hope to see you all!

Thanks David, that will be fine. Looking forward to hearing your fine country piano playing and singing.

GOD bless!

Terry,

No, we are not playing this week, as far as I know. I think we will be there on the first and third Fridays in June, the 5th and the 19th. You should have come out earlier this month; Keith told me to tell you there were several good looking women waiting for you to get there. :)
Very truly yours,

The 4th Annual Marshfield Steel Guitar Show

1) Performers will start playing at 10:00 AM on Saturday June 6th and show will end probably about 7:30 ish or 8:00 during evening.

2) Steel players can get in the building no earlier than 9:30 AM.

3) There are some tune up rooms behind stage

4) No video taping is permitted. We do tape the entire show and a copy will later be available for you the players

5) Someone will help you get your steel or amps inside. Just ask someone or come get me and I will help you. ;-)

6) Please bring your wife and children only. There is an admission charge for everyone else. $12 for the entire day and children 12 and under free. Well, it is the only way we can afford to keep the show going. It costs alot to put these steel shows on. Several other steel shows closed this year and or did not meet their budgets.

7) Well, I am doing everything I can to keep this show going and trying to grow as it should. Yes, we have some growing pains. Here's one of my favorite sayings by a Country Preacher friend of mine:

"It takes a squash just a few weeks to grow but an Oak tree about a hundred years to get all growed up!"

Hang with us everybody and we will make it!

Thanks and GOD bless!

Yes, 3 of the women looking for you Terry were from Conway, one was from Lebanon, and two from Marshfield. Another was an Amish girl in a wagon from Seymour. Boy do you get around Terry! I don't play with the Heartland band this weekend. That is the band David and I are in. I do play this weekend at the Auction Barn with a different band, then Saturday with two different bands. I am currently playing in 6 bands. David's band is my favorite.

One week from today is the 4th Annual Marshfield Steel Guitar Show.

I just wanted to once again invite everyone out to hear a great day of steel playing and Country music.

Another surprise guest this year, I talked with J.D. Walters and Morey Sullivan and possibly others of Hank Thompson's Brazos Valley Boys are coming play at this year's Marshfield Steel Show. Morey was Hank's band leader for a number of years and I worked several shows with his father the late Don Sullivan. This is will be a real treat and hope you Western Swing fans can make it.

Keith had them girls shaved yet? :D

See you all next Saturday!

GOD bless!
