I want to buy a tubescreamer, mine gave it up tonight at my gig. I need one in a metal box, I do not want a vintage one or a ts7 or soundtank. What have you guys got? Thanks, Jim Peters

Jim,

I believe the reissue Tubescreamers (TS9) are still available for just over $100. Mine seems to sound the same as the old ones. It certainly looks the same... puke green, metal case, etc. Try Musician's Friend.

Jim, you might want to give the Visual Sound "Route 66" pedal a shot. It's got the same overdrive as the TS-808 Tube Screamer, and the same compressor as a Dyna-Comp. A steel housing you can stand on, for about a hundred bucks, at M.F., or other chains. I love mine, did away with about three other pedals!
