On our drive back to Nashville, Mark, Regina, Joanie and I never quit talking about how much fun we had at the convention and how nice all the folks were to us. It was great to see and visit with old friends and meet so many new ones. The Peavey Room was a blast thanks to Mike Brown, along with Russ Hicks and Jim Hartley. As for the "Big Stage", what an honor it was to play there, thanks Scotty. We all agreed that Leona Williams was the icing on the cake.
Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome.
Sincerely, Mike Johnson _________________ Mike Johnson

Hi Mike,
I saw both of your sets on the main stage and in the Peavey Room. Both were absolutely great, loaded with great picking and singing.
Hope to see and hear you again soon!

Mike,
Thanks for playing. You're a tremendous highlight at the show. I know I speak for everyone when I say that we hope you can make it every year!!! Honestly, you represent a next generation of steel guitar masters, and you bring something unique and fantastic when you play. Plus, we need more push-pulls on that stage!!!
Take Care,
Brad |

Hi Joanie and Mike !
It was a great pleasure for me to see you again this year at the convention. You remembered me from the last year and this is a big guest nearness (sorry for my bad english ) for me.
Both of your shows where great... your playing and Joanies voice.
Mike, your CD is great and a top 10 in my collection.
Hope to see you and your family again next year at the ISGC.

I MUST SAY NOT BAD FOR AN ALABAMA BOY. I ALWAYS ENJOY LISTENING TO MIKE AND JOANIE, I EVEN MET AND TALKED TO MIKE'S BROTHER MARK IN THE LOBBY OF THE HOTEL ON SUNDAY AND HE WAS EXTREMELY NICE. YOU GUYS ARE ALL GREAT. I AGREE THEY MUST BE BACK IN 2009! _________________ JDAWG

Mike I wanted to say thanks to you and the gang for putting on a great show all week end long. You are a great addition to the ISGC. Not bad for an old boy from Alabama.
On a side note did you know there were at least four boys from Alabama on the big stage and one put into the Hall Of Fame. Way cool. |

Mr Mike,
You and your family presented a barn-burner show..my only regret is..30 minutes just whizzes by too quickly..
I always enjoy seeing , and hearing you play..I wish I had more time to visit with you and Joanie, and Mark and Regina..Maybe next year..
Maybe you will be playing some of the other shows soon, and we can visit..
Thank you for a great show, and for your friendship..
Peace and love to you and yours..Travel safe..
RP...'come on in'... |
