Bob, I use a RCDW500 by Sony. It has a recorder and a player. It makes copies in about 4x. We use a Marantz at church. The Sony is about half the cost of the Marantz at around $300. The Sony uses audio cd only and the marantz uses any cd. Hope this helps.
Thanks, James

I bought a Phillips when the technology was young. It required CD-DA media and quit recording a week after the warranty ran out.

I currently use a Tascam CC-222MKII, which includes a high quality cassette deck and lots of bells and whistles. It's expensive, but it's trouble-free. Mrs. Lee tells me that CDs made from her old cassettes sound better than the original tapes on her playback system.

Thanks, Guys

The tascam looks awesome but out of range.

I'll look into the Sony.

I recently purchased a Fostex CR300 on ebay. Rack mount. Paid $170.00 plus shipping. Works great.
