Thanks. I'll post more once it gets here. I'll try to post some sound clips as well, If I can figure out how to get some decent computer audio happening.

Here's a cut n' paste from an email reply to Tim earlier today:

Hot damn! This thing is LOUD!!!!!The show I'm rehearsing right now is a theater gig patterned after old TV shows like Ranch Party, Town Hall Party, Grand Old Opry, etc... We have one area mike and a bunch of acoustic instruments besides me. Last night I had my Milkman on about 1 3/4 for steel and 'round 2 for my Tele and it was definitely too loud!

But the tone, oh my lord this thing is sweet. All my band/cast mates couldn't stop oohing and ahhing all night.

I also sit in a good bit with an Americana outfit - both the leader and lead guitarist have Michael Swart (Swart-tone) amps. Even though one can get bitchen tone out of Mike's amps at low output levels, these guys like to run 'em at eleven. Can't wait to play with them again - I'll win that stage volume contest (whilst dripping with awesome tone), hands down.

Awesome Bill! I know a bass player and his rig I'd like to ray-gun blast with a direct beam from the Milkman Amp.

George - Weight is around 42lbs. I'm guessing it's about the same dimensions as a Fender Twin. I'll measure it once I'm in front the amp again.

My Sideman is as tall as a Twin, but a couple of inches less wide....the Milkman Pedal Steel amp is exactly the same dimensions as a Twin...

Milkman -

Post by Frank Sprague »

My twins are both 26-1/4" X 20-1/4" and a Sideman is 25" X 20" - but I built my Sideman cab 1" taller to allow for an easier speaker swap . . weight is about 42 # with the Telonics Neo 15-4 . . . dang site lighter than a Twin that likes to make my eyeballs bug out ( and other body parts ) . .

Most significant gear purchase I've ever made.

Immediately, I was a better sounding player.

And I don't know what mojo you've done with the reverb circuit, but I've been leaving my new delay pedal at home. Don't need it.

Thanks my friend.

Now, must score more gigs......

At present, all I have with which to record is an old flip camera. I'm not sure it's gonna present the sound in any decent kind of way.

I'll set it up here soon and see what I get. If it sounds okay, I'll post something up. Otherwise I'll need to borrow a decent mic. I have an old 4-channel board - should be able to get something decent with that and upload to Soundcloud.

Stand by.

Man, the audio on these Flip cameras is just awful.

Little camera doesn't do the Milkman justice at all, but I think, though, you can hear the punch and string separation.

I'm not much of a recording guy, but if I can get something set up, I'll post better audio.

Enjoy (I hope): http://youtu.be/4QVgSzP3VIQ
