6 String Lap Steel Tab - Texas Playboy Rag W/Audio

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

Texas Playboy Rag played on a Rondo 6 string lap steel using a C6th tuning with low C#. The ending was much used on Jimmy Day's pedal steel version also! The first two steel verse and the last steel verse are tabbed out.

Greg,

Just wanted to add: Your C6 non-pedal tabs & audio page is a treasure trove of tabs for not only it's songs / arrangements, but also for it's tabs & audio files of licks, scales, pockets, tricks, etc. I'll darn sure be spending some time in that candy store ....as soon as I can find some of that all-too elusive time.

Great stuff. KUDOS. Thanks a mil.
Aloha,
Denny T~

Will, you are so welcome!

Denny, with the kids out of the house, I have more time on my hands than ever before!

Andy, I play a lot of Lap Steel while watching TV so it really doesn't take up any more time. It's a real fun, no stress instrument. Now that I can see what it can do, I kinda wish I had bought a 6 or 8 string goldtone and put both a low C and C# then add a high G or D.
