Maybe Dan Galysh will chime in here. He's Moe's steel player. Last time Dan was out here in California, I complimented him on how the Steel was up front and center in the mix. He said Moe,s dad was running the sound and that he is a steel guitar player.
Carter D10 8p/7k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup, Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112, Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open G slide and regular G tuning guitar) .

Sure, Roy.
Danny Pitney has sat at my steel after soundcheck and he recently let me see a video of himself playing a show a few years ago (I think the song was "Honky Tonk Attitude"), on his Emmons-which affirmed to me his ability to play well. He started in bluegrass music, playing banjo, then switched to steel and played the circuit where he is from in the Rockford, Il. area. He doesn't play as much as he used to, but I must say he is a very good player and a good man--raising three super-talented children.

Takes after his son... ;- ) Who, by the way, is a terrific singer as is his sister.
I need an Emmons!
