C6 TAB Lapsteel Love letters in the Sand

Post by Bert Farroach »

Hi lapsteelers!

Back home again, feels like starting with the 2nd season!
The first tabs I did in january I played on G6-dobro, but I found out that's a hardly used option,
so I continued with C6 lapsteel.
To be complete on lapsteel I made a new version of this old Pat Boone song.
It could be about the Hawaii beaches too ! 8)

My clip is here on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVQmcwNvVhM

Below is the first part of the tablature, and if you want the complete PDF + backingtrack,
just email me and I'll send it free.
Hope you enjoy this one, and there's more to come !
Regards, Bert

Well done.

And folks, don't forget, tabs for six string C6 are easily adaptable to your 10 string C6 pedal steel.

Thanks Bert.

Thank you all !
Ron, if I understand well:
You can actually play a C6-tab then without using pedals?
If you change nothing of course, and maybe eliminate the slants by using them?
I didn't realize that. . . maybe once I'll get into this extended instrument . . .

Bert -

In response to your question:

The six sting C6th tuning is embedded into the ten string C6th tuning via strings 3 thru 8 on ten string C6th necks.

3 - C
4 - A
5 - G
6 - E
7 - C
8 - A

The player may use bar slants (per your great tabs) or floor pedals.... if the pedals accomplish the same thing.

Hope that helps.
