Thanks, I just tried taking a couple winds off and that gave me enough room to fit them.

I have a Sierra double 10 string. I'm putting a new set of strings, D'Addario Pro Steel 12-70, on the C6 neck and I'm finding that the two lowest strings .070 and .054 don't fit into the ball end ...
