Y'all are overthinking it...I just cover my steel with my rod & leg pouch when I'm onstage. Fits perfectly.

Always liked them. Nice guitar on "Butchie's Tune".

One thing I never liked about the 60s was most bands lip-synced on TV variety shows, with few exceptions, like the Beatles.

I have tried practically every single brand string out there & honestly I cannot tell the difference; they all sound the same to me.
So I buy the cheapest, which are GHS pedal guitar boomers.

I dunno---I'd give anything to live in Texas...maybe you should rethink this. I would think DFW is a mecca for steel music. Certainly ain't in Florida.

You don't need split cases. Just go to your local sporting goods store & buy a rifle bag; they are about $18, and use that for your legs,rods & pedal rack. Works great with my LeGrande D-10.

Hot Rods are great amps, but look for one made in USA. The Mexican ones have issues with the solder they use there & cheap circuit boards, that expand too quickly & break solder joints.

Turn the delay up to several repeats; medium slow, and place your bar between the end of the neck & the pickup & pick the 3rd string...instant whale sounds!

Actually, I think the GFIs are nice looking guitars, especially that navy blue one.Ultra I think. But, I ain't familiar with how they sound or play.
