I’m using the UA Dream 65 and the UA OX stomp with great results. Joe has done the most research on the subject so if he likes the Tonex I’m sure you can’t go wrong.

It has some MSA parts, key head, fretboard, the pedals look like MSA but lack the crosshatching.
It could be good or not so good, but it’s not a true MSA. |

I’ve been using a Walrus Audio M-1 pedal for rotary sounds with good results, plus you get lots of other modulation algorithms. It does the speed ramp thing well. | |

I have one and it works just fine, no problem getting clean sounds. I use it it for all my church gigs now and at home in my studio. Somehow it feels like you are playing through a real amp. | |

Your guitar was set up with standard nickel strings, the NYXL strings do not pull the same as standard strings so it needs to be readjusted for the NYXLs.

Flying with a steel is a huge pain. You could move the pedals from the bottom neck until you find replacements.

The Carter rods did have rolled threads. As Bobby said, they are not as crisp looking and vary a bit in diameter. I would go with 4/40 as I think it would get you closer to the factory rods. You can a ... | |
