You'll have to change the leverage on one or maybe even both of the pull rods involved. Different combinations of attachment point on the bell crank and different holes on the changer side. Trial and ...

I had the same issue. Bumping up the string gauge of string 3 helped.

Timing a half stop feel has to do with configuring the 2 pulls involved. It's a combination of changer hole selection, bell crank connection location and the travel stop of the changer.

New Sierra has been extremely stable for me. I don't experience the same tuning issues I had with a GFI Ultra.

I've tried all the tuning schemes and compensators. I ended up using equal temperament ...

This can happen if you change string gauges. Also, check out the sticky Overtuning post in this section.

I had the opposite experience.

I bought a GFI Ultra from Billy Cooper about 5 years ago. A while after my purchase, I asked them about the tunable split on the 6th string. Billy Cooper knew exactly ...

There's a mod where you add a 2nd pot that supposedly allows you to alter the taper. In my experience it does modify the taper but only in a small range of the volume pedal's travel.

I eventually r ...

I'm enrolled and it is the best course I've taken. It's not all roses though. Here are a few things I didn't like:

- Holy moly the vibrato. Too much for me
- Overly sweetened tuning can make some ...

My RKR lowers string 2 to D at the half stop feel and to C# when fully engaged. The half stop is timed very accurately.

When playing (as opposed to tuning up), I find that I consistently overshoot ...

I also installed and later abandoned the Myrick mod. It did change the volume curve a little but I'm happier without it.

I have a boss volume pedal with a 2nd knob that controls the minimum volume.

I believe B + RKL split to get G on 6 is more common. On a GFI the split is done with an additional pull rod.

I've had good luck adding compensators.
Another option is raise helper springs. They can lessen cabinet drop.

I remember one time when my string 3 sounded like a sitar. Higher up the neck it became even more pronounced. I tried reseating it but that didn't help. I changed the string and the problem went away.
