If you want to play fiddle tunes note for note, then you have to sit down and find it.
If you have a copy of the Anthology of Pedal Steel, take a look at Doug Jernigans' version of Leather Britches. I ...

For what it's worth,I use the pedal loop for the volume pedal only. I come out of the guitar to a RAT, go to a processor, from the processor directly to amp input. This is the cleanest sound I've been ...

Mike,
In the late '80's, I had barely sat down at a steel guitar. I've never met you, don't know you, except by name, and I've only heard you play one time; that being a session tape from here locally ...

I don't know, I think what's played and how it's played pretty much fits these days. Most of the stuff that I would call cheese and reflects limited chops would go back 20 years or thereabouts. I agre ...

Pick-up any Flatt and Scruggs, the two or three albums The Dillards had out and early Jim and Jesse and The Virginia Boys, if you're looking for traditional. Pick-up some of Tony Rices' recordings or ...

Use your three-cord hookup. Go from guitar to rack reverb, from reverb to input 1 on the front of your amp. Go from front patch out to volume pedal line in, from volume pedal amp.out to patch in or re ...

I agree with Dennis about the distortion effect. I've used a whole lot of different distortion gizmos and finally settled on a Proco Rat. It definitely produces a cutting distorted sound. It also thin ...

I can probably help you. I've got the entire fuzz assembly off of a '76 Classic that I sold awhile back. I took it all off and made a new backing plate using the old as a pattern. I kept all of ...

I've got a Marantz. It's been used very little. It's an excellent deck. I just don't need it too often. The thing sells new for over $300.00. I'll let it go for $225.00 plus shipping. I have original ...

I'd say if you want to work at any level as a pedal steel player these days, you need to be able to produce a new country,i.e. pop sound. I think this thinking or frame of mind is basically what will ...

I've got a '76 Classic 12. I've had a George L in this guitar pretty much since I bought it. If your guitar has the short aluminum changer housing, it's no big deal to swap out for the '66.

That's a great tune. Terry Crisp did a great job coming up with a solo and fills in that song. The steel parts are also real easy to pull off, should you ever have to learn this one.

I noticed a screw-up after I posted this; in the fifth bar. Should be: STRINGS 5 and 6 at the end of fifth bar; not strings 6 and 7.
