I did the same thing with my Discovery which I used to own. I also had the end plates chrome plated. Looked sharp.

I have them also. I DON'T use them when I am playing for the same reason. I have the Music setting also on my Hearing aids. It does nothing for playing live.

I have been using the Strobo Plus HD. I have it clipped to my guitar leg so I can see it easy. I have 20/100 vision, half blind I guess. Best thing I have ever had, as far as a tuner.

Same here back then. The young guys were a lot of fun to hang with. They were darn good pickers for sure. Two of the guys had four year degrees from Berkley School of Music in Boston.
