So we would have to download or purchase and install the VST's that we need for reverb, delay, preamp, power amp, cab sim etc and they would process our guitar's input just like they do in the DAW? ...

Stephen, I never plug in or run my tuners while playing. It's a shame though that the input impedance is so low. May be a question to address to Peterson and maybe they will see this post!

I eventually found out that the amp sounds best without the built in effects unit and just a stomp box or two in front of it.
