Totally untrue.

The only time I use mine with a computer is when I record. All controls are available from the front panel.

I agree entirely with all that. I personally don't mind the effect that a pot pedal has on the instrument, and wanted to keep that.

Ah yes! Same headstock and endplates. I've been looking at lots of old Marlens and the hardware really varies. I saw a 66 with endplates bolted into the body through the front panel.
