I think the song that introduced me to Doug's playing is "Right Time Of The Night" by Jennifer Warnes. Doug played steel on that record and his playing and the song itself are awesome!

If you're wanting to play squareneck, Gretsch has a model called the Gretsch G9210 Boxcar. I played a Gretsch Boxcar when I first started playing.
