I started on lap steel in the mid 50’s, and it taught me how to use the bar, picks, and play songs. The guitar, and pedal steel came easier with my knowledge of the fretboard and music theory.

I would strip the amp corners, the feet, the jacks, the tolex, the handle, all of the pots. Or keep the cabinet and install some rack mount effects in it.

I’ve used a small stack of dimes or sawed off drum sticks (dowel rods) to keep the legs from slipping.
