I can only tell you that my Fuzzy (1972 resembling yours) was not that well made. It was in nothing comparable to the craftsmanship of modern Excel guitars.

You can also try this on your S-10; remove the C pedal and tune your F knee lever to F#. This way your foot can stay at one place and your muscle memory does the rest.

I do not use the first slot but the third slot It gives a shorter travel of the pedal, but is a little harder to push down. But I prefer it that way
