| We are using much here in Europe the Cubase SX software from Steinberg to create backing tapes for steel guitar. For me this software is very hard to work with because of the high knowledge level you need to understand all the features. Someone told me it is high professional software for studios. What kind of software do you use to create bass, drums and rhytm guitar except Band in a Box ? |

Sonar 6 PE, but I have to say if you find Cubase sx hard to use sonar will likely not be any easier for you. BIAB is the easiest but you don't like it.
BIAB is just like anything other recording app out there the more you put into it the more you get out of it.
Just about any software you buy that is good enough to record high quality backing tracks will have a pretty steep learning curve.

I agree with Bob.
The best course is to just find someone fluent in Cubase,
and ask them to get you going with it.
it may seem daunting at first,
but the basic functions you need,
once learned are easily repeatable.
Garageband is easier, but ya gotta have a Mac.

Great glad to hear it.
The initial learning curve may seem daunting,
but once you reach a certain point you can pretty quickly do less thinking and more music.
Figure in a week or so...
I find the program solid, but not up to what
I need a sequencer/audio editor to do for me.
But it will certainly do what you need. |
