Once in a while a person runs across a website that contains music that hits one's "hot spot". I was fortunate enough to do just that this AM. If you want to hear how, what I believe, is the proper methods for a steeler and lead player to 'do their job' as sidemen, go to Hook Moore's website:
http://www.hookmoore.com/

Toggle down and take the time to download the three mp3's listed there. You'll be entertained by the taste Hook Moore, on Steel and Robert Shafer on lead guitar, make the handoffs. I think you'll also be surprised at the "Willie" type vocals rendered by Mo Truman. The bands rendition of 'You win Again' is one of the best I've ever heard. You can bet if I ever get in the vicinity of Charleston, West Virginia, I'm looking this band up. A real treat for certain.

Real nice website Hook! I especially liked what you played on those mp3's! I have the original vinyl containing that Willie Nelson "Home Hotel" and I don't believe I've ever heard anyone else do it. Great playing!

Hey Pal...I went down to sign your guest book....isn't it sad that we can't keep it clean...anyway, it's a great site (for a HILLBILLY) and I hope it's not too long before we can do some pickin' together....maybe get that HILLBILLY guitar player Robert S. to join us...I was hoping Robert and I and a few other six strings players were going to put a CD together, but I can't get all those involved to commit to it as of yet.....stay in touch.

Thanks Roger, Mike and Russ! I appreciate you guys taking the time to have a look at my page. Russ, Robert had told me of your invitation to do the CD. He will be happy to do that project when you get ready for him. I`ll see to it
