I was wondering if anyone had any clues to any decent gigs in or near the Nashville area. I have played several venues downtown and around, but the pay stinks for the most part. I have a butt-kicking country band and need a couple of pretty good places to play. Any suggestions? |

Alan, I think the path to the GIG is the same in every City..
Someone has to spend the time....
research the scene...
hit the streets, knock on doors...

Well,. guys, that's just it. I've been here for quite some time myself, played quite a bit in town for others, but never made enough to be worth the time, so I guess I'm reaching for something that's unattainable in this town. I think maybe I'm looking for something near, but not IN Nashville. I guess that's how I should have phrased my question. |

The heck of it is, I used to live an hour and a half from Dallas in Ardmore, OK and only played in the Dallas area a few times. Now I realize its a great place to play country music and I guess it always has been. So much for staying on the farm under a cowpie for too long! |

Oh, yes, I guess if the money was right and we had several gigs in the area we might commute. |
