Texas country singer/songwriter Gary P. Nunn is seeking a bass player to join his band. He works 8 to 14 gigs a month and is based in the Austin TX area but travels all over Texas and occasionally other parts of the US of A.

If interested, email Gary at jeepster@281.com

So, is Gary Herman not working out for them like it says on their website?

Just wonderin'.

Gary is happening for another month. Then he's taking a good day job, the better to provide for his wife and young child, GP tells me. The job will open up in late February.

I mis-spoke. Gary Herman went with Kevin Fowler recently, and KF's bassist, James, went with Gary P. It's now James that has the wife and baby and is doing a day job.

Gene came out to the Spoke tonight and he talked with Gary. I don't know if anything came of it, though I certainly recommended Gene for the job. Herb Belofsky played drums and did a great job.

I don't think Belofsky's "back," he's just filling in for Gary this weekend. But they were on the same stage in the same room playing together, that's a fact.
