Say Dennis, Now that I think about it, Arnold just might be the right one, what with all the mud-slinging, he would probably fit right in, Whattyethink? I still kinda favor the cow, it's just something about her eyes. Ron

Hey Guys, this has been such fun and such a relief from..."how do you bend your picks, what kind of pickups, howgee make that run,do you like this kind of guitar better that the other, which amp is best, and How Great thou art!" We need more fun and humor in our lives, of course, that's just my way of thinking...I'm really enjoying all this! Thanks for letting me horn in. Ron

I agree, a less serious post is good for a change.
A cow huh? A gentle one with big brown eyes, luring lips, nice hooves and can make nice big pies? I think I went with one once?

Jennings, after study, I've pretty well decided on Pearl Stripes, I remember her from cowllege. We were in separate stalls together. This could wind up being a lot of Bull....Ron

Ron, you may fool some people into thinking you're not old enough to remember Nick Lucas. You won't fool this old buzzard. I am sure Bobby(Super C) has owned some of his picks. Nick even had a guitar course. I just found a link where you can buy his biography.
(Of course Buddy is not old enough to remember him) I happen to know that Buddy and I were born the same year, but my socks smell better than his.

There are those who think it dosen't stink!I'll bet you didn't know that Buddy Emmons nicknamed me Lucas about 20 years ago. I can tell you the story when we have a little more time. Please take care and stay in touch. Ron
PS. Jack, I had a Nick Lucas white plastic bar in 1948....Whooopsie-Daisy!!!!

Ron, I am not old enough to know about the 40s but I was told that they started making a lot of things out of plastic then. Funny thing though, I never saw a plastic bar. The ones I played in were either wood or brick. That was good, because I had to make a few new doors in some of them in an effort to make a quick exit........JD

It's probably too late now,but don't this thread belong in the comedy section? Speaking of comedy, that reminds me of my steel pickin'. No wonder it ain't gettin' any better as much time as I spend readin' this stuff. Oh well it's all set up and pluged in I think I'll go torture it for a while.

Smiley, I knew you would remember 'cause I was told that you started pickin' before electricity and your first guitar was a kerosene guitar. Also heard that when you were born, the dead sea wasn't even sick.
I remember Stan Freberg ("I come through the window" guy)You got me on the Stephan Foster song.
I ain't tellin' my age but this is the truth... My first touring job was a canadian tour playing steel for Lefty Frzzell (I was 23 years old). I played a triple neck Steel made by Don Davis and Hank Garland. It had Bigsby pickups and one of shot jacksons pedals which pushed up on 2 strings behind the nut. They called it a 'Dalan"or Dalen??? After our last show, I sold that guitar to a man in Chilliwac and bought a Fender400 for which Ralph had to show me his tuning to give me a jump start on learning pedals ...........JD

Tommy, a picture of LuLu Roman inlaid inside the bottom of the mug. When you see LuLu, you know it's empty.

Picture of Lulu? Man that would encourage drinking. I would get that cup filled as quickly as possible to cover the picture. P.S. How big is that cup anyway???????? A picture of Lulu would weigh 7 or 8 pounds.

Ron, I never could understand the meaning of cup size. 46 oz? Or it holds 46 cups? Something doesn't sound right about Buddy's cup size?? GET SOME LIPSTICK ON THAT PIG
