I have an envelope with 3 cassettes with the titles above. These are all black tapes with a single line label attached to each side. The labels have the titles above.
The envelope has the following in hand writing...
Jimmy's "Bootleg" Collector Pak
Contains
3 Cassettes
Steel And Strings
Golden Steel Guitar Hits
All Those Years
Thanks for listening
Jimmy Day
Do you think they are original and legitimate? If so, do they have any value?
Personally, I never met the man. Never really heard any of his tunes other than these tapes and a few mp3 files that folks sent me.
But I figure someone would be interested in having them.

"Original and legitimate"? Hard to say, it could have been someone's weak attempt at a marketing gimmick. I'm sure there's someone here who'd like to have them. Jimmy was one of the original "greats" of pedal steel. |

I have the same Collectors pack in the envelope. My brother bought it for me from Jimmy at a gig at Henry`s in Austin.

Gene, I can bring this to the show next week if you want.
These tapes came in a package deal that I got from someone here on the forum. I don't remember who but a search of the forum content (for "bootleg") would probably bring up the post. Seems like I got these tapes and some tab books and tapes.
