I picked up Bob Strum's gospel CD at the Georgia show on Sunday. I've heard Bob play many times, and it's ALWAYS beautiful! But, this gospel project is absolutely awesome. Just a Closer Walk With Theeleft me speachless - Brilliant, Dr. Strum!!

Donna you are so sweet. I'm really glad you like my Gospel CD. The back up band includes Danny Crawford and David Johnson. It was a ball to record even though it was a 12 hour session!!
PS You and Tommy and Ms Patsy d'Cline were wonderful Sunday! I especially liked Patsy's indentification with her song, "Lazy". |

I picked up Bob Strum's "Strum With Love" CD at the Georgia show on Sunday and am enjoying it.
It has a lot of standards on it ("Tenderly", "Secret Love", etc). I especially liked "Elmer's Tune"; it brought back fond memories of my dad playing his triple-neck Fender many years ago.
Jerry Braswell deserves special thanks for a wonderful show last Sunday. |

I got a copy of "Strum The Gospel" from Bob at the Bristol show, as well as a copy of "Strum With Love." That was the first time I had heard Bob play, and I was amazed at his smoothness and that great voicing.

Thanks FRIENDS for your support. You know when you get my age and try to play what's in your heart, your "bod" just doesn't always connect! It really is heartning to hear others appreciating the effort. I love big chords, but you have to listen to the 4 fingers of Bobbe doing the impossible licks. As for Roy, his new guitar has the sound and his technique brings back the music that we miss. Johnny, "Old Elmer" goes back to Glenn Miller and...Ya
Thanks, Bob |
