Rather than start a new thread, I just wanted to pass along that my daughter said the George Strait show in Cincinnati last Saturday night was fantastic. I took her to see George years ago and this time she cut me out and went with her friends.

She was in the 7th row, right on the isle where the stage entrance was located... She came home all excited and told us she got a handshake from George as he came back for an encore.

She said the steel was fantastic and occupied the big video screen about 75% of the time. I've never met Mike Daily but she was impressed that I knew his name, exclaiming, "I think that was it!"

Jack, you are right on about Hughey, Myrick, Franklin. I just read the credits on some of George's albums.

But, from what I've seen of George's Mike, he is one fine picker. Great technique, very tastefull.
