I have tickets to see Ray Price on August 8th in Hiawasse, GA. Last account I had, Dan Dugmore was the steel player. Does anyone know if this is correct and if not who is the current steel player with Ray Price?

Charlie: The last time I saw Ray Price he had Danny Mohammad with him, playing an old Emmons P/P thru a Peavey Vegas. Plays very well.

I saw Ray and his current crew a few weeks ago, it's a lot different from what it was when he had Blondie on piano and the rest of the old hands, but still very enjoyable. If that was Danny I saw and I think it was, he came out ice cold, but warmed up after a few numbers.

What does it mean when a player comes out cold? Does it mean he wasn't playing like Emmons or Day or what? I saw Danny about a month ago and he was playing great. The guys in that band play a lot of parts and only parts. They are not all over the song like might be expected of a steel player in that band.

I saw Ray a couple of months ago in Panama City. Danny was playing with him then and like the previous entry it took a while to get him warmed up. He was a lot better on C6 than E9. I tried to have a conversation after the show, but he wouldn't give me the time of day. That is very unusual for steel pickers. Most of them will talk with us about other steel players for a little while anyway.

He must have been having an off night. When they got done I spent about 45 minutes with him. I would have spent more but my sweetie disappeared and she wanted to take my pic with Ray and I knew she would be upset if she didn't get it done. So I had to leave the fun stuff to do the bad.
