Mike's got a web site going!

Welcome to Mike Perlowin's
homepage

I appreciated reading the 'bio', since I've listened to his recent stuff and was happy to speak with him after his bike accident. I didn't expect the 'bio' that I read, in that it's fun to know that we both share a common thing in life;

As far as I can remember, I never wanted to do anything but play music.
I guess we're just born to be players (many of us on multiple instruments). Is it a gift or a curse?

I still can't understand why Mike will not put up a sound clip of his "one hand one heart" work from his West Side Story CD. People need to hear that.

Nice work, Mike. Thanks for sharing.

Best, -Dave

There might be legal reasons.

First, thanks Dave for the "review' of the site.

I agree, One Hand One Heart is one of the best things on the CD, but the MP3s were originally put up on another site by a friend, and I didn;t want to impose on him by asking for more than 2 tunes, I had to choose which ones to put up.

"Maria" is obligatory, and I wanted the other tune to be an uptempo number.

The person who built the site for me wants to post 30 seconds of each tune, but there's no way the emotional impact of One Hand One Heart can be felt unless you hear the whole thing. The same is true of the other tunes.

The West Side Story CD should be released this year. I am devoting all my efforts to making that happen as soon as possible.

Mike:
Be glad to put it up on a server for you and you can link to it from your website. Did the same for Jim Cohen until he got his own server space lined up. I have 5 meg of space on my high speed connection that I am not using. If you want the song online, send me an mp3 of it.

Very nice site Mike. Glad you finally got it up. Folks, I have both of Mikes CD's. To say he thinks and plays out of the box is an understatement. He also plays within the box, and is great at it as well.

Good luck my friend.
