Just happened to hear a cut off her new
CD yesterday with some different kinda
steelin' on it. As Johnny Carson use to
say...."weird, wild stuff!!!"
I'm not sure if any of you are
familiar with her at all, but I figured
I'd ask anyhow.

He also plays some really fine stuff on a recent Eleni Mandell album called "Country for True Lovers"

Dave was also the recording engineer on both of those albums, and they were recorded at his studio.

A few years back I caught a song about middle way through when it was being played on a radio station. It was titled " 50,000 " something or other, I didn't get all of the title. It was about the Vietnam war. I have looked to find this song for several years with no luck. I wonder if she has a web site?

Hey Dave Pearlman.
Dave was one of the young players who came up on the fringe of the Pal' crowd, the same sort of scene that brought on Herb Steiner, Ethan Reilly, Rich Weiss, Dan Dugmore and others.
Herb and Ethan were probably the most active on the scene, (folks.. Herb was the busiest kid in the biz!), while Dave was practically a kid player, he did the amateur night at the Pal' and the like.

Dave played with one of the Everly Bros solo band, and did sessions here and there with the likes of Garland Frady.
In the 1980s he did studio work, live stuff and sessions including some stuff with the Long Ryders who were playing alterna-country about a decade before anyone thought up the name.
As mentioned Dave has his own studio (Rotund Rascal Recording) and works as an engineer on quite a few things, even rap stuff.

He even plays.. duh, duh duuuuh... 'Banjo'
