I took delivery on a new Emmons Lashley LeGrand III 9+8 at 11:50 this morning(friday). I adjusted 2 knees, RKL & LKR, 2 pedals, 1 & 8, and drove 30 minutes to 16th Ave. Nashville for a 2 o'clock session at J. Gary Smith's Productions(Malloy Boy's) studio in downtown Nashville. No fear, the guitar is flawless out of the box...I even used the strings that came on it. Nothing but praise from the engineers, producer, and players. Hats off to Emmons, ya'll did me great again.
Jim and everyone....you proved again why the pros make the one stop at your shop. Sounds like a hook.......peace...Jeff

Jeff I saw you at the KUPL country jamboree in Portland/ St Helens Oregon a week ago, could not get close enough to say hello.

Does Clint use his own sound man? Does this person know anything about mixing the steel?

I think he needs more signal from you so he knows when you are playing.

Jeff......Which reminds me, why don't you and Clint have a "Live In Concert" DVD or VHS out?
Clint could at least make the investment break even through his website alone.
I want to see your new Emmons.....but in concert footage.
Can't Clint call his buddies at RCA and get something going?
Hey, you'd get royalties! And Forum members would get to see you give the III a two hour workout.

He didn't get a LeGrande Four Because he couldn't count that far, his speciality is spelling! ( and helping me spell).
Bobbe!---(don't know what I'd do without you Jeff!).

I didn't get a LL IIII, 'cause they're reserved for a very special clientele, and my guitar was 94% done already. Our FOH engineer is Jame Geddes, and I'm sure he'd be very interested in your ideas of mixing a show. You'll find him through Sound Image Inc. I didn't get a LKF because my guitar was mostly done and shipped when I found out it was available, or yes, I would have had one installed....next guitar, for sure. Bobbe, you are definitly a bright spot in this tarnished industry.

Jeff, has one of the 14 hole bellcranks fallen off this new steel on live TV yet? Jim really belived that story 2 years ago when we sent you the Emmons III, (Birdseye maple, mica body & tan in color) & after you had it for a couple of weeks, you called and talked to me on the phone, and you told me to tell Jim Aycoth that a 14 hole bellcrank fell off right when you were playing on the Jay Leno show. (Well, you told me to, remember?)He looked at me with his eyes crossed! Jim has a DRY sense of humor. I think he actually got mad, but I don't know. When I told him that it was only a joke, that you wanted to have some fun with him,I really don't think he took it that way. O, well, I HAD FUN, YOU HAD FUN, & I guess thats what counts, right? We had a LOT of fun when Jack Strayhorn & I worked at Emmons. Take care, Jeff, & drop me a line sometime, OK?

Hi Jeff,
Got my new Emmons Legrande 111, 8 & 5 with BL 710's & was in the studio 10 hours later recording new CD with Jim Witter, Curb Artist, who has co written alot with Steve Wariner. Steve played amazing guitar on the record! The new Emmons got lots of great complements from producer, engineer & Jim! Thanks for your input on pickups Jeff, the 710's sound great. Also Jim & all the folks at Emmons were excellent & the service was outstanding! All the best & safe travels on the road!
