Hey Herb. Your picture is in the cover of the PSGA Newsletter. In our little community that's as close to the big time fame and fortune as we ever get.

Congrats pal.

I guess my ad is expiring and it's time for renewal!

Okay, Bob... I'll get a check out to ya.

A buddy of mine commented on the cover yesterday. He said "Tom Morrell has a very distinguished-looking chin, and for Herb Steiner, that goes double!"

This whole thing is really nice, and I love my friends and all, but really, it's only a freakin' magazine. I'm kind of embarrassed by this thread (witness the self-deprecating humor), really. But it is a nice little half-hour of feel-good to see your picture somewheres. And it will forever dispel any rumors that I am older than Tom Morrell!!!!

Wayne: I may not have more chins than the Hong Kong phone book, but my jowls just got issued their own ZIP code, fer chrissakes!!!

Mike: I just got a Ken Rollans seat with the sidecar compartment... it allows for gluteous "overhang."

I like Herb much better with his "cowboy hat" on his head,,,,it hides his face...not that he has a "funny face" just that I think he looks real "cool" with the hat.

Well maybe his face is a little funny at that. But it's a good face after all.

I will be running a special this week only. For one mere buck I will have Herb autograph the magazine for you.

P.S. Since he's a little road-weary, the signature might not be quite up to par.

Congratulations, Herb!!! ......Pete

P.P.S. Will see ya at Jovita's tonight! You WILL sign my tab for me, won't you, Buddy?

Ironic that the Herb factor came up here since I intended to start a new thread on his fisrt tape. A couple of days ago I was looking around in the car for something to play. I found my copy of Texas Bandstand. It don't get no better!

Congratulations, Herb:

Herb is the only steel player to record one of my favorite tunes, ___"Skater's Waltz"; or at least it's the only one I've heard.

It's "smooth o'er the (strings) ice".

Herb No need to "fret" you can have that picture" touched up" air brushed and would take ten years off that photo.

It does not flatter you at all,,,you look much better than that anyway,,,,that was a cheap camera they used,,,,your'e really a
"Hunk" should be in a "centerfold" photo with just "boots" and your "bar" that would be great,,,Oh yeah the HAT as well....
HAT
BOOTS &
BAR...and you got it all.......

Beverly Hills, CA is noted for good plastic surgeons. When I went there for a consultation for a facelift, the doctor handed me the business card of a prominent procotologist and said, "you need to go and see this man".

Man you are a funny guy,,,I would like to get a group together,,,like Mike,Jim Cohen,& a few other funny guys and do like a "Saturday Night Live Thing" some of the guys on the Forum make Leno & Letterman look like "undertakers"...
Who would be "Musical Director"? I have someone in mind,,,you know who,,,the guy who ends his first name with a "little e" suppose we could call him the "little e " with the BIG SOUND?? does he work cheap?
he would have to ,,as this would be a "non profit deal" but we know what that is like,
Iv'e been doing that all my life.
