My name is Jerry Horner and I'm a new member of the forum. Even though I am new to the forum, I'm not new to the PSG. I started in western swing 52 years ago, switched to PSG in 1955. I have met some of the members of this forum but it's been so many years ago that they will not remember me. I spent several years with the Ozark Jubilee Band, toured with Lefty a few times, even worked for Hank Thompson for a month. Got fired because I wouldn't play like Bob White and that was ok because I understood that he had that style. I settled down to a club job in OKC in 1961. I worked there for 8 years and then took a breather from music for awhile. I've just played off and on since then. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to the group. Have a great day.

Welcome to the best education on the steel guitar you will probably ever get. When I signed up I had no idea there was so much here.

You will thoroughly enjoy reading all the ideas exchanged on The Steel Guitar Forum.

Greetings from South Texas! You've got a lot of catching up to do. There is a wealth of information on the Forum. Go up to the top of the page, where it says "search", and click on it. Think of a topic related to steel guitar and search for it. It has probably been cussed and discussed numerous times.

I want to thank everybody for the nice welcome. I have no idea why Gene is buttering me up because there never was a day I could walk in his shoes. Thanks again to all of you and I hope I am able to add just a little to this forum.
