The Online Steelers Directory
[Online Steel Guitarists of the World Directory]
also known as: OnlineSteelers.com is MOVING and CHANGING.

Great news for you!!!

The NEW Online Steelers Directory gives you MORE FREEDOM and INFORMATION ... it allows you to:

*list yourself and see your listing NOW,
*EDIT your listing (and see the results on the web right away!),
*search to find out how many people own a particular BRAND of equipment, and
*view REAL-time statistics.

WARNING!
If you do not register and re-enter your listing at the NEW site, your existing listing will disappear after the URL changes to the new location.
So, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND going to the NEW site NOW:
http://209.41.162.249
and re-entering your current data.

During the next several months, both locations will be available to you, after which the URL www.onlinesteelers.com will ONLY access the new site (and your current listing will disappear forever).

Please remember to bookmark this address for the time being to access The NEW Online Steelers Directory: http://209.41.162.249

For those of you new to the Forum or who have never used the www.OnlineSteelers.com Directory, we invite you to do so as it is very useful in finding other steelers in your geographical area, locating someone's email address, staying in touch with steelers worldwide who may not be currently posting on the Forum, among a few other new goodies . As of June 29, 2001, there were already 530 steelers registered on the new Directory.

We think you'll enjoy the NEW site even more than the old site as you can see the entries you make immediately (that's a BIG improvement!!!).

And, Remember: This is YOUR resource and YOUR site ...
so we invite you to enjoy it and use it and participate in it and explore the MANY new features of this new site ... http://209.41.162.249.

Had problems with the new Directory in the past? Here's a special note to those of you who have tried and had any problems: First: we appreciate your feedback and have corrected just about all of the issues that were interfering with your registration and record updates on the new Directory. Second: If you forget your username or password, remember, do NOT re-register with a 2nd user name and password. RATHER: just go to the page labeled Forget your User Name or Password? and fill in the info there (and your user name password will be emailed to you at the email address you provided when signing up with that user name and password ) -- it's that simple. This will keep the statistics accurate for all of you using the Directory and prevent duplicate listings.

I wish to thank the primary designer of this NEW site, John Fabian, and his team of consultants, b0b Lee, Dan Tyack, J-D Sauser, Don Walters, and Jeff Agnew, for their long hours of study, testing, conferring, and ideas.
