b0b,
I have 2 questions, 1 of which I know belongs here, and the other I'm not too sure of, so I included it here.
This is sort of ridiculous, but how come
sometimes the Forum icon on my desktop is
the usual white dog-eared paper with the
blue 'E' MS logo, sitting on top of the paper? And at other times it is the Forum's
logo, which is the steel bar riding over some strings? The Forum logo is obviously more cool than MS's boring logo.

How can I get back to the Forum logo?

?2 - I would like to change my Forum name
from upper case to 'regular'. When I got a pc
I had no idea that there was a certain protocol and accepted patterns to follow.
When I found out that upper case usually meant you were mad, or P-OWED, or wanted to emphasize a point, I was dismayed that I had
used the uppercase. I am not an in-your-face type. This has bugged me for some time, and I
think it's a hassle to change it; so if it is, I can live with it. But if it can easily
be done, I would much prefer the standard route.

Thanks b0b,

I don't have a Forum icon on my desktop, so I don't really know what you're talking about. What happens when you double-click the icon?

There are two ways to change the name on your account. The first way is for me to delete your account, and then you re-register. That's the easy way.

The hard way is for me to edit some files on the server. I can do that, but I don't like to. I'm always nervous that I'll screw something up in the file that UBB uses to find member accounts.

Frankly, your name is so short that I don't mind it being upper case. It's not like you post in caps or anything.

Let's leave it as is, b0b.

OK, the desktop icon...I put it there via
FAVORITES in the startup menu...just send to desktop [shortcut]. Well as I mentioned,
sometimes it appears as the blue lowercase 'e'- the Internet Explorer logo.
And other times, there are 5 black horizontal
lines with a big fat silver/gray steel bar
laying across the 'black strings'.

Now this doesn't go back and forth, say, when I turn the pc on/off. But sometimes, during a reboot, or when Norton goes thru it's paces, and then the desktop comes back up, the icon will have changed; one way or the other.

You really should see it. It's very cool.

How it got there, I don't know. Where it came from, I don't know. Where it goes to, I don't know. I just don't know.
