Terry I have a Transfex Pro 212s
It is stereo with 2 power amps , one for each speaker.
It has more power than I need, any more volume needed, and I would leave the band.

I have a midi pedal, and it is like several amps in one. I started with the Newman preset patches and have set up several of my own.

I can run 1-4 different isntruments through it and each as a patch or 3 on the pedal tuned for itself.
I have a little mini mizer before it so I need not plug and unplug.

Since the Profex / Transfex type processor is ingegral I have very high level of control.

Is it better sounding than the ideal tube amp... nope,
Is it very good sounding, yep. And extremely versatile.
I record with it, and it is very good for live work.
For me versatility was a high priority

My main negative issue is weight. but most steel amps are not light.
About the size of a Fender Twin.

I wish it had a tube in the chain, but for pure solid state, it sounds pretty good to me.

I plan on an all tube unit in the future.
I also have TubeFex unit in my studio rack, which does have a 12az7 tube in it.
That was used before I got the amp with it built in.
Hope this helps.

Terry, good for pedal steel..............great for guitar. In all honesty, the Transfex Pro 212 was originally designed for six string electric and the testimonial by David Donald speaks stronger than I could about this amp.
