My RV 3 is getting "fuzzier sounding" by the day. (see my post on Weird RV 3 problem) I may need to replace it. They are off the market, but I know they had an RV 5 at one time. Any opinions as to whether the newer models of the RV 3 are better, worse, about the same? Anybody have a Lexicon LXP-1 or LXP-5 they would like to sell?

I tried an RV-3, fiddled with it all night and could not get a reverb that sounded good to my ear. I got an RV-5 and it took a few seconds to find some great reverb sounds. I think you would like it, especially if you were pleased with the RV-3

The RV-5 is reverb only, no delay.

Here's some reviews by non-steelers: http://www.harmony-central.com/Effects/Data/Boss/RV_5-01.html

I own two of the RV-3's. Like them really well. They have been discontinued, and the RV-5 has taken its place. It is reverb only, with no delay, but there is one setting with a modulation{chorus}on it.
