Gretsch Country Gent decaying binding problem

I have a 1970 Gretsch Country Gentleman. The guitar is in perfect shape, but the binding is starting to crack, and getting worst everyday.
Has anyone experienced this problem, and had their guitar rebound? (I sure there is someone out there). I would appreciated references to a good repair person. Mine is good, but does not want to tacle it right now.
