Hey Jack,

I just got a TTFX and like it over the TUBEFEX.

I don't know exactly what it is but it lends a nicer "quality" to my Emmons. I know that they are very much the same but the TTFX is a keeper thanks to all of your past advice to those here on the SGF.

Thanks for your insight!

Tim, thanks for the "gold star". I'm just glad I can help someone. I'm retired so I have time to "piddle around" and do these kinds of things.

I have had good luck with my TT Fex and from all reports it is a lot quieter than the Tube model. For steel I didn't really see any difference - I tried them both at a music store before I bought the TT Fex.

I just finished a steel instrumental CD and I used the TTFex (XLR line out with the speaker emulation set on 2 12") directly to the recorder and it came out great - I didn't have to add any EQ when I mixed it down!

I still need to come up with a couple more programs for my Tele. I've been using the factory "country pickn" program - which isn't bad, but I need a couple more clean programs. I guess that will be my next project.
